Interface Options

Interface Options is used in conjunction with NetConnect Processing to interface with the UPS, FedEx, and DHL next day freight systems. Interface Options is used to activate NetConnect Processing, to select which next day carrier interface is used, and to set the update intervals for NetConnect Processing.

It is also used with Trace Reporting to enter your Company Id, API key and URL needed to connect to the Trace Register website and the API Schema used to validate the XML Import Trace Document. It is also to set when the document will be created and to prevent or warn if source product item attributes are missing.

Interface Options Fields

Synchronize NetConnect	Enter Y (Y=Yes) to synchronize Net•Yield with NetConnect Processing for one or more of the next day freight services; enter N (N=No) if Net•Yield does not need to be synchronized with NetConnect Processing.
DSN NetConnect	The NetConnect DSN (database source name) used to interface with NetConnect and the next day carrier system. The default ID is NetConnect.
Processing Interval NetConnect	The number of seconds to delay between each NetConnect synchronization.
FedEx NetConnect	Enter Y (Y=Yes) to activate NetConnect and FedEx interface. Enter N (N=No) if the FedEx interface is not used.
UPS NetConnect	Enter Y (Y=Yes) to activate NetConnect and UPS interface. Enter N (N=No) if UPS interface is not used.
DHL NetConnect	Enter Y (Y=Yes) to activate NetConnect and DHL interface. Enter N (N=No) if DHL interface is not used.
EDI File Creation	Enter N (N=Normal) to create normal EDI files, enter C (C=compact) to create compact EDI files.
Company ID Trace	Enter the account number assigned to your company by Trace. By entering your account number, the system will activate the ability to automatically upload the XML Import Trace Documents to the Trace service to supply your customers that subscribe to Trace with the traceability information required to track the source of your products.(optional if not using Trace) See Trace Overviewfor more information.
Key Trace	Enter the API login key assigned by Trace needed to automatically upload the import XML trace documents to the Trace web site See using Trace for more information. See Trace Overview for more information.
Order or Invoice Trace	Select which option to use to create the Trace XML Import Document. Select O = order is updated with a status of Shipped or Ready to create and send the Trace document when an order has been updated to a Shipped or Ready status in Sales Orders, Shipping or Update Pick List , I = Invoices are kept to create and send the trace document when an order has been invoiced and kept in Sales Orders, Shipping, Dispatching or Invoicing. An amended trace document will be sent when the invoice is kept if option "O" is used. When the option is set to "N" = not using which will create the Trace document when the invoice is kept but not sent it out See Trace Overview for more information.
API URL Address Trace	Enter the API website URL used to upload the XML Import Trace Document to Trace.
API Schema Trace	Enter the XML schema document used to validate the contents of the XML Import Trace Document. The default is "import_spec.xsd " and should not be changed.
Prevent or Warn Trace	Select P = prevent empty values to prevent the update of the received Purchase order if the item info attributes needed to record the Trace source product information is not entered when the item is received in Purchasing or Purchase Orders. The Purchase Order will not be received if any of the required information is missing. Select W = warn on empty values to warn the user that the item info attributes needed to record the Trace source product information is not entered when the item is received in Purchasing or Purchase Orders. The user will be warned that required information is missing but can still receive and update the Purchase Order even if any of the required information is missing. N= not using which will not warn or prevent the purchase order from being update if the item source attributes are not entered. See Trace Overviewfor more information.
